ASEAN was founded in 1967 with the conviction that no country in this region builds alone. ASEAN 1967 carries that conviction forward, placing high-potential students and recent graduates into real venture and market expansion projects across ASEAN, alongside founders, operators, and SEA Bridge partners. This is not a classroom. It is execution.

Most internships optimize for exposure. ASEAN 1967 optimizes for capability. Fellows don't observe — they own deliverables, make decisions, and learn how ventures actually move across borders. They work on active companies, real expansion plans, and live constraints. By the end of 8 weeks, they have shipped work that real founders depend on, and joined a network of operators across ASEAN that lasts well beyond the program.
Fellows work on active ventures expanding into new ASEAN markets — not simulations.

3–4 fellows per team, rotated every sprint, minimum 3 nationalities. Cross-border is the operating environment.

For people who want to test ideas in the real world and understand how business works across borders.

ASEAN 1967 runs as four 2-week sprints over 8 weeks. Teams rotate every sprint by design — you'll work with different fellows from different countries each time. Every sprint produces a real deliverable for a real company. The strongest teams continue their work into Sprint 4, which extends the highest-impact project from the prior three.
Weeks 1–2
Onboarding sprint with portfolio cases: lower risk, faster learning curve. Teams formed and tested.
Weeks 3–4
Full case engagement. Market research, validation, competitive analysis, GTM execution.
Weeks 5–6
Second case engagement. New team. Different market. Deeper output.
Weeks 7–8
Extension sprint. The strongest projects from Sprints 1–3 continue toward final deliverable and Gen SEA Summit presentation.
*All pre-program training (Global Venture Playbook + Market Expansion Crash Course) must be completed before Sprint 1 begins.
Every sprint is anchored to a real company solving a real expansion challenge. Past and current cases include Korean beauty platforms entering Thailand, Vietnamese event-tech expanding regionally, Indonesian healthcare scaling cross-border, AirAsia building new learning products, and Thai media entering Indonesia and Latin America. Cases come from SEA Bridge's portfolio companies and corporate sponsorship partners across ASEAN, Korea, and Japan.

*Companies trust ASEAN 1967 to deliver execution-quality research, validation, and market entry support.
