Working with real-world clients in the REMT program teaches adaptability, clear communication, and the importance of cultural understanding for effective market entry strategies. It also highlights the need for data-driven decision-making and accountability, as clients rely on practical, well-supported recommendations. These hands-on experiences build problem-solving skills and prepare participants for real-world business challenges.
Significant moments of self-discovery during the program came through networking, leadership, and collaboration, where I learned the value of stepping outside my comfort zone and building genuine connections. Leading group projects taught me to balance confidence with humility, while collaboration revealed the strength of diverse perspectives. These experiences deepened my self-awareness and ability to work effectively with others.
My vision for ASEAN is a region that thrives through inclusivity, sustainability, and economic resilience. By fostering collaboration across diverse communities, ASEAN can ensure that growth benefits everyone, leaving no one behind. Embracing sustainable practices will further strengthen our economies, making ASEAN a model for responsible and inclusive development in the global arena.
To future REMT participants: embrace every challenge with an open mind and the drive to grow. Don’t hesitate to think big—each project is a chance to stretch your skills and make an impact. Remember SEA Bridge’s values: “Take the Challenge” and “Think Global, Act Local,” and make the most of every opportunity to learn from both successes and setbacks.
